Made in Germany, the new 7 Series stands out for its superior reliability and comfort, as well as for its even lower fuel and operating costs, thanks in part to the engine oil change interval, now set at 1000 hours. The two models in the series – the 7250 TTV and 7250 TTV HD – are equipped with the Deutz TCD 6.1 Stage V engine (with maximum power and torque of up to 247 hp and 1072 Nm respectively) and are based on the new TTV transmission with improved efficiency.
TOTALLY GREEN
The 6-cylinder Deutz TCD with turbocharger, intercooler and Common Rail of up to 1600 bar, uses an injection pump lubricated by the engine oil; with the SCR, DOC and passive DPF package for exhaust gas aftertreatment it can fully express its performance, guaranteeing a minimum specific consumption of only 202 g/kWh, a value which, combined with its 505 l capacity of the monolithic fuel tank, ensures extremely long-range consumption. The passive diesel particulate filter used in the exhaust gas aftertreatment system offers three advantages: no additional injection of diesel fuel for filter cleaning, lower heat production and much faster regeneration operations compared to traditional filters; to save time and money while fully respecting the limitations imposed by the Stage V pollution norms. For road transport, an optional feature is available with a special foot control, which increases the engine braking capacity by 40%. This function, which generates additional braking force to complement the already impressive retarding action of a transmission with a hydraulic component, significantly reduces wear and increases the service life of conventional braking system components.
UNIMAGINED EFFICIENCY
Based on the same layout already proposed in the T7780 versions (already tested on the 8 series) and T7560, the new continuously variable transmissions raise the bar in the category in terms of efficiency and reliability. A perfect combination of planetary mechanical components with a new and extremely efficient high-pressure hydrostatic unit guarantees a constant and uniform power flow, without jerks and with maximum performance, not to mention reduced fuel consumption and lower heat dissipation. The new powertrain, which is assembled at the Deutz-Fahr plant in Lauingen, Germany, features an exceptional performance transmission, giving the 7250TTV unprecedented acceleration and smoothness, as well as a significant increase in torque transferred to the wheels (+ 35% for the 7250 TTV and + 50% for the 7250 TTV HD). The new TTV transmissions also allow these tractors to reach a maximum road speed of 60 km/h at an engine speed of just 1800 rpm, while 40 km/h is available at an incredibly low engine speed of around 1200 rpm. The Powershuttle is adjustable to 5 sensitivity levels to perfectly adapt to each specific need.
FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY AT ALL TIMES
The profitability that can be obtained from a tractor is strictly linked to both operational capacity and operational accessibility. The new 7 Series stands out precisely for these features: the engine offers remarkable performance, even at low revs, while the PTO, which has electro-hydraulic activation and can be modulated via the iMonitor, comes standard with 3 speeds in the rear (540ECO/ 1000/1000ECO) and up to two in the front (1000 or 1000ECO). With the DualSpeed option, those speeds can be changed from the cab in the InfoCentrePro. This allows maximum operating efficiency at all times and means that it is possible to frequently operate with the engine at low revs, significantly reducing fuel consumption, wear on moving parts and noise in the cab, which also extends routine maintenance intervals. The interchangeable type rear PTO shaft makes it quick and easy to change, facilitating connection with any equipment and also reducing costs in the event of damage. The PTO operating modes can be managed both from the armrest in the cab and from either of the rear mudguards. For comfortable machine coupling, the rear PTO now also has a neutral position.
BEST IN CLASS PERFORMANCE
The hydraulic system of the new 7 Series offers premium solutions, usually only seen on larger and more expensive tractors. The hydraulic circuit is independent of the transmission lubrication circuit, while the pump, available alternatively with 3 different flow rates (120, 160 or 210 l/min), is of the Load Sensing type to prevent energy use when there is no required flow of pressurized oil.
